About Us

Treadwell Consulting specialises in the design, delivery and evaluation of learning and training for organisations. We also work closely with organisations to develop individual talent and maximise employee potential via the design, development and delivery of innovative and bespoke mentoring and coaching schemes.

Founding Director, Dr Peter Treadwell, together with a number of key Associates, has considerable experience of working with large and small organisations in both the public and private sectors.

Peter was Head of School the successful new School of Lifelong Learning at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff [UWIC] and subsequently moved on inside the university to become Corporate Dean, being responsible for Academic Development and Widening Participation across the university – now known as Cardiff Metropolitan University. In these strategic leadership roles he gained many years experience in developing and assessing innovative and effective approaches to learning, from foundation through to postgraduate level. He also became the university 'lead agent' for workforce development and employer engagement and worked closely at the interface between Higher Education and local, regional and national companies in the creation and delivery of innovative work based learning short course programmes and bespoke training.

He was instrumental in establishing the highly acclaimed Centre for Personal and Professional Development [CPPD] in the university, and most recently, acting in his capacity as a consultant to the university in developing the new Centre for Work Based Learning [CWBL].

He is also known for his work in designing and developing EU funded work based learning projects with HE and FE partners in Wales. Additionally, he has carried out research projects on workforce development for the Higher Education Funding Council Wales [HEFCW] and for the HE STEM programme for Wales, based at Swansea University. He has also carried out advisory work on workforce development for the Skills, Higher Education and Lifelong Learning [SHELL] Group in the Wales Government and recently presented on 'high performance working' to the Wales Employment and Skills Board [WESB].
